An extreme macro shot of a robber fly (Triorla interrupta) as it eats the insides of a common house fly. Robber fly's inject saliva containing neurotoxic enzymes which paralyze and digest the insides of its prey. It then sucks the liquified meal through its proboscis. Robber fly's are very aggressive hunters and will hunt other flies, beetles, butterflies, moths, bees, dragon flies, wasps, grasshoppers, and some spiders.
